	Breast Health (Subliminal) with Dr. Eva Selhub I've had many requests over the years to produce a program to help deal with the epidemic of breast cancer. My mother and several friends have or are dealing with this issue. When I met Dr. Eva Selhub last year, we agreed immediately to begin working on this project. We will be releasing full programs, including spoken affirmations as well as subliminal affirmations with music in the near future. 	Prostate Health Statistics tell us that half of men over age 50 experience issues related to their prostate. Now that I'm over 50, I obviously have a personal as well as a professional interest. The full programs will include my audible, spoken affirmations with music as well as subliminal affirmations with music. 	Meditation Soundscape; Deep Alpha One of my ongoing projects explores composing music to allow me to 'dial in' specific brainwave frequencies that are known to be associated with deep meditation, creativity and healing. These soundscapes include sonic brainwave entrainment technology (see "Deep Journeys" and "Seaside Slumber" to learn more). Listening with headphones will heighten the effect as the soundscape anchors you into a deeply relaxing alpha brainwave state. Listen Now (streaming) \| Download
	Side Track As I write about in the August newsletter, the first time I heard the sound of a horn section expanding the basic guitar-based rock band, I was hooked. I co-founded an all-star 8 piece jazz rock group in Buffalo in 1967, and we got serious in 1968. SIDETRACK was written by Madeline and arranged with sophisticated jazz voicings by Joe Ford. It's based on a basic blues progression, but we take it 'outside'. And yes, the entire song is a metaphor, and a double entendre, or maybe a triple....as well as a love song. 	Argonaut ARGONAUTS was written by co-leader Jon Weiss on his Wurlitzer electric piano. Until the Rhodes piano was invented, the sound of the Wurlie was the closest thing I knew that could emulate the sounds I heard in my mind's eye. The song is based on the blues form, expanded with the polyquartal harmonies that were being pioneered by McCoy Tyner and Herbie Hancock. And yes, that's me on trumpet. 	Something for Everybody Suite "Something for Every Body Suite" comprised about half of Side Two of the first vinyl LP pressing of CHAKRA SUITE in its incarnation as "Christening for Listening". It was the first time I had the opportunity to explore multi-track recording, which allowed me to play all the instruments (except drums), one at a time. The medley is entirely improvised and there were no edits or overdubs. Nevertheless, there's a great vibe that reminds me of the great experiences I used to have with my band.
